The December Education Foundation was created in 2008 by Ethan Millard to tell the story of the Romanian anti- Communist Revolution of December 1989.

The Foundation is producing a documentary film that will be distributed to High School and Junior High history classes.

Accompanying the film is a collection of translated source materials to facilitate further study and research.

The December Education Foundation believes a history education should teach certain key values such as courage, sacrifice, and freedom.

The events of December 1989 display the courage of common people to take action against tyranny, the sacrifice of their very lives, and the commitment to freedom that drove men and women to leave their homes and overthrow a dictatorship.

The Foundation believes these stories will inspire students to a lifetime of civic action and democratic participation.
